Wu Minxia and He Zi from China Won the Women’s Synchronized 3M Springboard Event

Today, July 29, 2012, Wu Minxia and He Zi won the women’s synchronized 3m springboard event. Wu’s gold medal is her third successive Olympic title. According to bbc.co.uk, Wu and He scored 346.20. Kelci Bryant & Abigail Johnston from United states took the silver and Jennifer Abel & Emilie Heymans  from Canada got the bronze.

Britain’s representative Rebecca Gallantree and Alicia Blagg, finished seventh of eight.

According to Blagg, the compulsories [first two dives] were probably the best they’ve ever done so they were really happy with their performance.

Blagg hopes to have more games in the future to improve with the dives where she is not confident. On the other hand, Gallantree, who was also present in 2008 Beijing Games, will return to action on Friday, August 3,2012, in the individual competition.

Final Results as follows:

1.) He Zi & Wu Minxia – China
2.) Kelci Bryant & Abigail Johnston – Team USA
3.) Jennifer Abel & Emilie Heymans – Canada

As of this writing, China has 6 Gold medals, 2 Silver Medals and 2 bronze Medals and they are leading the medal tally for the 2012 Olympics on the 2nd Day.
